Smartphones vs. Tablets

I want to get into mobile computing and am torn between a smartphone or a tablet? What’s the best option?

The best option is reliant upon what information you would like to access. If you are looking for email, internet access and mobile app usage then go with a smartphone.

If you are looking to access your staffing software and need total functionality, then a tablet would be a better option. Remember that mobile apps can be somewhat extensive but they will never replace your full server application, unless you are using software that is very basic.

Mobile apps generally offer much less functionality and rightfully so. One could not expect to bring up all of the information that one would find on a larger screen. Screen space is limited and it is more difficult to work from the keyboard of a phone.
